The article considers the basics and the structure of students' self-dependence. The authors define students' self-dependence as an ability of an individual to regulate his learning activity, to reflect and evaluate it properly, accumulating positive experience, to interact with the learning environment and its members, taking responsibility for the learning process and its results. The authors have developed the criteria (stimulating, practical and mental) of students' self-dependence. The paper gives a definition and a classification of e-learning platforms and proves that a MOODLE e-learning platform is the best solution in developing self-dependence among university learners.
