At present, in connection with the introduction of the updated Federal State Educational Standards of secondary vocational education, the federal project “Professionality”, which determine the importance of professional training of students, the issue of improving the teaching methods of the educational discipline “Physical Culture” becomes relevant in order to increase the level of physical fitness of future qualified specialists. The article considers approaches to teaching the common discipline “Physical Culture” in the conditions of the updated Federal State Educational Standards of secondary vocational education. Examples of synchronization of disciplinary results with general and professional competencies, ensuring the continuity of educational results among students, taking into account the professional orientation of the main educational programs of secondary general and vocational education, ensuring interdisciplinary links, including professionally oriented content, are presented. These approaches would allow students to form the skills of using physical culture means not only for harmonious physical development, the formation of a healthy and safe lifestyle culture, but also to achieve the required level of physical fitness in accordance with the requirements of future professional activity.
