This article examines a three-leg walking mechanism with hydraulic drive, which is equipped on powerful excavator-dredgers, the main equipment used in open-pit coal mining. The results of analytical studies on the influence of geometric parameters of the walking mechanism on its key performance indicators, such as the speed of movement of the excava-tor-dredger and the step size, are presented.
