The article is devoted to the development of a new educational program «Geoinformatics and data processing in urban planning» for future masters studying under the master’s program «Urban construction and infrastructure development» at the Institute of Construction and architecture of the Ural Federal University. The new program is based on the use of methods of statistical analysis of spatial data for solving applied urban planning problems.
