Profile Information

In 2019, the Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture celebrates its 90th anniversary. Over this time, it has produced 25 thousand graduates in the field of civil engineering, including the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin and the ex-governor of Ulan Bator Munkhbayar Gombosuren. Today, the Institute comprises 9 departments employing about 180 staff members, more than half of them holding academic degrees of doctors and candidates of science. It has been an active participant in the international projects TEMPUS and ERASMUS+. 1,700 students are educated by the Institute annually (including those from China, Mongolia, Colombia, Pakistan, Turkey, Yemen, Kazakhstan, etc.), for which the Institute’s staff have prepared 65 monographs, over 200 textbooks and teaching aids. The Institute’s scientists publish more than 90 research papers and reports every year.
