Currently, the design departments of the concept and architecture must analyze the objects for compliance with the norms of insolation and KEO, in order to successfully pass the examination and obtain a building permit. This can be done using manual calculation, or in automated software systems. Modern technologies allow minimizing human labor and automating business processes of companies. The article considers an automated method for calculating the duration of insolation of a building information model using the Altec Insolations software package, and verification examples were also developed to check the automated calculation. Autodesk Revit software was used as a tool.
