The efficiency of the internal compensation of the reactive power of the linear induction engine is analyzed. This method consists in arranging parallel paths in the inductor winding and introduction of the capacitance into one of the two branches of each phase. Thus, each parallel branch with the capacitance becomes a compensating phase. Almost complete compensation of the reactive power of the engine is achieved. It is shown that the engine traction increases by 8 - 10 % at the same current density in the winding.
