FIELD: drawn tube production.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of continuously feeding blank to drawing die at optimal speed not causing lengthwise wall difference of tubes due to extremely thickened wall of tube at mandrel-free reduction of blank. Enhanced efficiency of reducing tube wall is provided due to increased yield of ready tube in the result of continuous motion of blank. Dependance for determining optimal speed of blank feed while taking into account set of parameters is obtained according to method of shifted volumes. According to industrial experiments performed in tube drawing shop of one of plants such method allows to prevent rejection of tubes by lengthwise wall difference and to enhance efficiency by 20-30% in comparison with well known process.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of method, possibility for making tubes with uniform thickness of wall.
