A portable wearing gamma-radiation monitor (NORM) intended for searching gamma-sources in non-accessible for transport places is described. The scintillation unit is developed on the basis of plastic scintillator and photomultiplier. The smart unit of NORM is designed for collecting, storing and processing of information on measured radiation parameters with the possibility of information transfer to the remote control center by using the radio channel. This device can be used for evaluating the radiation situation with the construction of an electronic radiation map.
