Off-gases of blast furnaces are cleaned at Serov Steel Works. The cleaning process leads to formation of slimes. Chemical composition of the slimes has been presented. It has been shown the slimes are suitable for utilization in process of manufacturing the sinter. Investigations of process of manufacturing the sinter with additions of the slimes have been performed. Regularities in the process have been found. Results of the investigations have shown that utilization of the slimes makes it possible to save coke fines. Share of the slimes in charge materials utilized for manufacturing the sinter can be 15-20 percent.
