The article is devoted to the original author's approach to invention in the field of architecture and construction. The concepts of 'direct' and 'reverse' paths in the process of branch invention are formulated. An original productive method for creating patentable solutions in architecture and construction as a result of the inventor's 'reverse' path is presented, as well as an example of its practical implementation. It is concluded that it is necessary to teach students of architectural and construction specialties the algorithms of the 'direct' and 'reverse' paths to ensure the technological sovereignty of the construction industry and the innovative development of industry enterprises © 2023 IEEE.
