A system of differential equations solvable in a standard mathematical Mathcad PLUS 6.0 package and applicable to galvanic cathodic protection with a porous anode is derived. The system describes the over-potential, the total overall current density, and their distribution along the pores of the anode as the functions of the porosity characteristics, which are determined by methods of quantitative metallography. Theoretical solutions are confirmed experimentally.
