Software for modeling the electrical and mechanical processes in rig electric drives based on dc motors with thyristor control is described. The software permits graphical display of the processes in animated form, information gathering (with the possibility of postprocessor analysis), execution of some project-manager functions, and investigation of drive operation, with effective identification of promising engineering designs for drill-rig electrical equipment.
