The designs of oil coolers for steam-turbine installations and problems on their retrofitting are considered. Modern designs that were proved in a great number of apparatuses and that can improve the efficiency and reliability of their service are proposed. The technique of the zone-by-zone thermal hydraulic calculation of oil coolers is described. Promising lines of development of new designs are recommended.
