The paper considers the parallel algorithm for solving the inverse problem of identifying the time-dependent right-hand part of a time-fractional diffusion equation. After discretization and approximation of the auxiliary loaded equation, the problem is reduced to solving a pair of systems of linear algebraic equations with a large tridiagonal matrix at each successive time layer. On the basis of the parallel weep method, a parallel algorithm is implemented for multicore processors. © 2023 Author(s).
