Graphite is usually utilized as material for hot pressing mold. However, insufficient strength of graphite does not allow to increase pressure of hot pressing, and this is particularly observed during pressing of large ceramic products. In connection with this, advisability of using the molds made from carbon-carbon composite materials in high-temperature pressing of ceramics has been shown. This makes it possible to improve efficiency of use of the working space of hot pressing plants. Reliability of tooling is improved. Repeated use of tooling is provided. Properties of manufactured products are improved due to increase in the pressing pressure.
