It has been considered how the modification of commercial Al2O3 powders of micrometer size (6.9 mm) with 25 wt % nanopowders of Al2O3 and ZrO2 (20 to 33 nm) influences the technological parameters of hot pressing and the properties of the synthesized ceramic materials. It has been shown that the hot pressing temperature can be considerably reduced (at least 200×C) and the time of the high-temperature treatment of the ceramics can be curtailed. The density and the physicomechanical properties of the materials have been given.
