The polarization of a graphite anode in a CaCl2-CaO melt in the temperature range 790-870°C at CaO concentrations of 1-8 mol % and current densities of 10-2-10 A cm-2 was studied. The temperature and concentration dependences of the limiting current spent for the oxidation of oxygen ions were determined.
