The main working characteristics of the thin film magnetoresistive sensors are studied experimentally and theoretically. Magnetization of the ferromagnetic strip system modelling magnetoresistive element in the form of tilted meander is analyzed. Influence of different geometrical parameters of a film element on sensitivity and linearity of the sensor with the four-arm bridge structure is investigated. A technique of the sensor sensitivity thermocompensation is suggested.
