The expediency of production of figured groove wedges from nanostructured composite magnetic materials is considered for the goal of achieving higher performance AC motors of low and medium power. A composite material developed for the manufacture of magnetic wedges using a nano-sized soft magnetic modifier makes it possible to improve the mechanical properties of the wedge material and provide the required characteristics of the magnetic wedge. Various versions of magnetic wedges for fastening the stator winding coils. Mechanical characteristics of a polymerized composite depending on the magnetite content and its size are considered in terms manufactureability. Evaluation of the influence of the relative magnetic permeability of magnetic wedges on the energy performance of induction motors, an experimental determination of the magnetic permeability of manufactured batches of magnetic wedges was previously carried out experimentally. The results of determination of the magnetic permeability of a polymerized composite material of small magnetite particle size showed competitive results in comparison with analogues and high manufacturability equal to analogues that have proven themselves in classical designs of induction motors. © 2023 IEEE.
