In recent years, more attention has been paid to the research of vertical axis wind turbine blade icing, and this paper investigates the effect of angle of attack of incoming flow velocity on blade icing based on numerical simulation methods. The results show that the wind turbine has the best aerodynamic performance when the angle of attack is near 9°. The maximum icing thickness on the blade surface is positively correlated with the water collection efficiency, and the larger absolute value of the angle of attack, the larger the icing area on the blade surface.
