N2 - Emerging green solvents for extracting bioactive compounds from natural resources have attracted the interest of researchers. In this study, NADESs based on choline chloride (ChCl), citric acid (CA) and malic cids (MA) were examined for extraction of resveratrol from Fallopia japonica roots. Box-Behnken design paired with response surface methodology subsequebntly was implemented. The ChCl-CA (1:1) combinations were the most effective at extracting resveratrol and pierprin. The extraction yield of resveratrol and piperine by NADES-based solvents were significantly higher than that of water,s methanol and ethanol. After optimization by RSM, the extraction yield of resveratrol 51.252 mg/g. Antioxidant activity of resveratrol extract was found correlated to the total polyphenol content. The results indicated that green method was successfully established for efficient extraction of resveratrol from phytochemical sources.
