Synthesis of 2-methyl-6,7-difluoroquinoline Zn(II) complex of structure [Zn(L-H)2]•2HC(O)NMe2 was realized. Structure of the complex has been proved by NMR 1Н, 19F NMR, mass-spectra as well as X-ray data. Atom of Zn was shown to be pentacoordinated, type of coordination of the central atom is the distorted trigonal bipyramid. Complex demonstrates green fluorescence in acetonitrile solution.
