The article analyzes the place of manipulation in the concept of “soft power”. The author pays special attention to the problem of identifying these phenomena and suggests the criteria for their clear delineation. The author considers manipulation as an instrument of soft power, the main platform for the application of which is the Internet. The article focuses on the technologies of manipulation in the Internet.
