A possibility of reducing the environmental impact of wood-processing enterprises using secondary resources - their production waste - is considered. Developing of modern cogeneration plants on the basis of a CO gas generator and the ORC-steam generator is shown expedient to provide electricity and heat supply to the remote areas with a small population. Gasification of waste wood results in production of highly liquid generator gas used later in organic Rankine cycle. Low boiling organic liquids allow the use of low heating temperature for steam formation. Prototypes of gas-generating units and ORC-steam generator are developed. Operation of the gas generator on different fuels and waste of wood processing is analyzed. A unique algorithm of gasification process control is realized in the gas-generator. The efficiency of the installation also increases due to the possibility of simultaneous generation of heat and electricity.
