The factors governing the hysteresis properties of spin valves and microfabricated meanders have been studied on an example of the following composition: Ta(50Å '')/Ni80Fe20(30Å ')/Co90Fe10(15Å ')/Cu(28Å ')/Co90Fe10(20Å ')/Mn75Ir25(50Å ')/Ta(20Å '). It has been shown that in the microfabricated object (meander) it is possible, using thermomagnetic treatment, to obtain a linear change of magnetoresistance with small hysteresis, keeping the GMR-effect of 8% level.
