The article deals with the issues related to the Korean ethnic group (minority) of Sverdlovsk region, who suffered Political repressions in 1930-1940-s. Unpublished archive materials of SAASR (State Administrative Archive of Sverdlovsk region) and SASR (State Archive of Sverdlovsk region) were used for the current research, as well as the works of Russian and Korean historians. In total, the study analyzed 107 cases of repressed people. All the documents found in the State Archive of the Administrative Bodies of the Sverdlovsk region (SAASR) date back to 1932-1942, and they can be divided into four large groups: cases against civilians, against the military, against "Trotskyists" and members of national public organizations, cases against prisoners in labor camps The personal files of the arrested in 1932-1936 contain information on daily life, national organizations, economic activities, mechanisms of adaptation and integration of the Korean ethnic group into the local community during 1920-1930. Investigation was conducted much more carefully than in 1937-1942, witness statements were recorded in detail and checked several times, and documents found during searches and arrests were included in the files. Koreans convicted in 1937-1938 signed a standard confession, and several people were tried in one case, who were united into a spy-sabotage group that did not exist in reality. After a short investigation, all the members of the "organization" were found guilty. Koreans, shot by sentence by the members of the Special Commission of the Sverdlovsk region, are buried on the territory of the “Memorial complex of victims of political repression”, which is located 12 km from the city of Yekaterinburg.
