The article describes one of the brightest regional trends in naive art of the Urals, the so-called «Kamensky branch». The article analyzes the specifics of the interaction between the professional and non-professional environment of second half of the XXth century in Kamensk-Uralsky city, Sverdlovsk region: it was formed during this period an artistic community with a lot of self-taught artists. They communicated closely with professional artists - graduates of the Sverdlovsk Art College named after I. D. Shadr, art and graphic department of the Nizhny Tagil Pedagogical Institute, etc.
