To determine the connection between air pollution and health problems in urban areas, the state of atmospheric air is estimated. Environmental monitoring systems and mobile installations collect information in the surface layer of the atmosphere about the quantitative content of pollutants, their spatial distribution and dispersed composition. The choice of design and technological features of devices depends on the measurement task. To test the possibility of dust separation to gravitationally sedimented and winding during the sampling process, a previously manufactured and patented sampling station was modified. Analysis of the results showed a decrease in the calculated dust concentration with a lid on the air intake. Also, the addition of the lid results in a decrease in the part of large dust particles (more than 10 μm) on the filter, respectively, the part of fine particles increases.
