The data on the bench experiments on the process of the accelerated water cooling of the angle splice bars has been presented. And the main structural parameters of the device for their quenching have been determined. The results of the implementation of the modern equipment for the thermal strengthening of the angle splice bars during commissioning the new angle splice bar heat treatment department at the Lower Salda Metallurgical Works (the branch of the OAO EVRAZ NTMK) have been described as well.
