Investigation of kinetic regularities of oxidation of coke samples under heating conditions close to mine units of varnish type subjected to preliminary heating at a rate of 5 degrees/min. Up to 1000 °C in an inert argon atmosphere supplied to the working space of the electric furnace at a rate of 50 ml/min. After which they were kept in an air atmosphere by thermogravimetric method on a differential scanning derivatograph STA 449 F3 Jupiter (Netzsch-Gerateban GmbH). On the basis of the data of studies of technical analysis of industrial coke samples of different producers, regularities of change of their mass in the non-oxidative period, duration of complete burning of experimental samples and rate of change of mass in the period of intensive oxidation in the exhaust-temperature period in the air flow at different content of moisture, ash, sulphur, volatile, hydrogen and combustion heat have been established.
