The article poses the problem of the optimal location of enterprises for the utilization of vehicles of various classes in the territory of the Ural region, and the shortcomings of the existing placement methods are discussed. As a solution, a barycentric technique is proposed for determining the optimal location of utilization centers, based on the construction of a graphical-geographical model of the region. According to the proposed method, the potentials of the settlements of the Sverdlovsk region are calculated and the maps of the density of settlement and waste generation are constructed.
