The political culture of state civil and municipal employees of the knowledge society stage in the information society differs from the political culture of this social community of industrial society. Its importance is due to the role of state and municipal employees in the implementation of state policy in society. All the most important issues are submitted for decision in the field of political relations. And state and municipal employees are the implementers of the latter. And how much they understand and share these decisions, the policy of the state, also depends on the effectiveness of the implementation of state policy and the interests of society. However, today in sociology, studies of the political culture of a given social group are extremely rare. Meanwhile, in order to more effectively develop this phenomenon, this must be done.The purpose of the article is to study the state and main state civil and municipal employees influencing the political culture in modern Russia.The article used works on political culture, such authors as: P. Burye, P. Sorokin, etc.; results of empirical studies of domestic authors. The study method is document analysis.The analysis of these materials made it possible to draw the following conclusions. Today, Russia is developing a new political culture of state civil and municipal employees of the information society, its stage is the knowledge society. This can be seen as a new social phenomenon, due to the role of this social group in society and the new society itself. The political culture of representatives of power structures still contains elements of the political culture of an industrial society, and not just a knowledge society. And today it is neither the vanguard of political, but also it is not extremely backward.
