The article presents the results of a study legal and regulatory framework of social partnership in vocational education, conducted in the Sverdlovsk region in 2013-2015. The authors give a definition of «social partnership in vocational education» and suggest a classification of social partnership in vocational education. Fragmented legal maintenance of social partnership in this area at both the federal and regional level (Sverdlovsk region case study) is shown. Need to update the regulatory framework of social partnership in vocational education is justified. The experience of the Sverdlovsk region on regulation social partnership in vocational education is shown. Specific measures to improve the legislation in the field of social partnership in the framework of vocational education are offered.
