The paper analyses the main directions of engineering and technical optimization of tank production technologies in the Urals during the Great Patriotic war. The paper shows the main consequences of this process in terms of the formation and accelerated development of the tank industry as well as in terms of increasing the productivity of the industry as a whole. The paper highlights the impact of evacuation on the main directions of production optimization.
