The work is devoted to the development of corrosion inhibitors of steel St10, which are solutions of synthetic neutral calcium sulfonates of grades K-31, NSSK-30 and T-104 in polyalphaolefin base oil (o-PAO-6) under conditions of exposure in a salt mist chamber (5% NaCl, 45 oC). In order to increase the effectiveness of anticorrosive action, samples of solutions of synthetic neutral calcium sulfonates in o-PAO-6 were processed using ultrasonic exposure. The study of the physico-chemical characteristics of these samples showed that ultrasound exposure has a significant effect on the physico-chemical characteristics of the catalysts. Using the DRS method (Malvern Zetasaizer Nano ZS), it was found that in solutions of additives K-31 and NSSK-30 in o-PAO-6 oil, there are significant differences in the size of micelles in additives, related to: 220 nm and 122 nm, respectively. In addition to the main peak, solutions of additives NSSK-30 and T-104 have micelles in the nano-range: 5 nm and 10 nm (in the middle of the peak), respectively. For T-104 sulfonate, ultrasonic treatment did not affect the size of a 340 nm micelle (in the middle of the peak), and for K-31 and NSSK-30 additives, the effect of ultrasound was the opposite in both cases, micelles with a size of 141 nm appeared. It can be seen that in solutions of additives in PAO subjected to ultrasonic treatment, in all cases, the appearance of micelles with a size of 5-15 nm in significant quantities was observed. The results of the study of the anticorrosive effect of sulfonate solutions in o-PAO-6 base oil in the salt mist chamber show high anticorrosive properties of solutions at an additive concentration in the region of 5-7.5%, which are 96-192 hours before the appearance of corrosion. The effect of ultrasonic exposure on the protective effectiveness of the studied formulations leads to an increase in the anticorrosive effect, the maximum for the additive K-31 (7.5% in o-PAO-6). The mechanism of the effect of ultrasonic radiation on the anticorrosive effect of solutions of synthetic neutral calcium sulfonates in o-PAO-6 is discussed.
