The results of experimental studies of workpieces with globular structure from cast aluminum alloys obtained in the crystallization process with the hydrodynamic effect of circulating magnetic fi eld on the melt are considered. The main laws of structure variation under different conditions of exposure, casting and cooling rate are presented. Studies of microstructure allow to make qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the grains of α-phase and porosity in the experimental thixocastings.
