In article the practice of shaft smelting of copper bearing charge in Mednogorsk Copper-Sulphur Combine with using of the oxygen - enriched air is considered.Rate of oxygen enrichment of the air blast was increased from 30 to 36%, while the productivity increased by 20.1%, the copper content in the matte was 33.0…35.3%, in the waste slag to 0.5% Cu.As well as material and thermal balances of melting are given. The effect of increasing the rate of oxygen enrichment on the furnace capacity, solid fuel consumption, composition and quantity of the obtained smelting products is shown.
