The results of experimental study of the evolution spray pattern of boiling liquids under efflux through a short channel into the atmosphere are presented. It is shown that the spray pattern in terms of adiabatic expansion depends on the magnitude of superheat relative to the saturation line, and on inner (channel shape) and external geometrical conditions.
