Annotation. The article contains a description of the device and calculation of structural elements of a CsI (Na) and SIPM-based scintillation gamma spectrometer, as a promising alternative to gamma-ray scintillation spectrometers based on vacuum photomultipliers. The use of SIPM can significantly reduce the size, increase reliability, reduce the cost of scintillation gamma-ray spectrometers and make them accessible to a wide range of users. Among other things, the article presents the results of experimental studies conducted using a working prototype of a scintillation gamma-ray spectrometer based on a SIPM.
