The results of calculation of the main installations of the long-distance atomic heal supply system based on the synthetic gas production in the process of steam methane conversion are given. The application of a high temperature gas-cooled reactor as a heat source and the use of radial gas flow scheme in the HTGR and methane converter provides more compact construction and lower hydraulic loss in comparison with the traditional axial scheme.
