Ssues of updating the historical and architectural heritage of small industrial cities of the Sverdlovsk region in the context of the theme of urban projects (with the involvement of citizens) are considered. Some of the results of a sociological research on the topic, which make it possible to specify the parameters of urban projects for the actualization of the architectural heritage of small industrial cities, are given.
