The measures which have made it possible to increase the intensity of the blast furnace heat have been presented. The simultaneous decrease in the coke consumption at the AO “EVRAZ Nizhnetagil’skiy Metallurgicheskiy Kombinat” has been provided as well. The measures include the furnace reconstruction, technological heat condition optimization, technology introduction for using the vanadium-containing staflux, the improvement in the oxygen content in the blast, the implementation of the pulverized coal fuel injection.
