The article analyzes the content of the categories «ideology» and «constitutional values» taking into account the provisions of Russian constitutionalism and the humanities. The author's comparison of the categories "ideology" and "ideological function" of the Constitution of the Russian Federation is provided. The identification of constitutional values as an independent institution of constitutional law of the Russian Federation is substantiated. The author's model of the Institute of Constitutional Values of the Russian Federation has been formed.
