Ensuring interaction between states, in addition to the diplomatic and political course, requires the establishment of communication, which contributes to the further development of economic relations. It is known that six languages - English, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and French - have the status of official languages of the United Nations. Correct translation within these six languages, both oral and written, is essential to the work of the Organization, as it ensures clear and accurate communication on matters of global concern. In the context of increasingly close economic ties between China and Russia, it is especially important to develop the ability and skills of translating economic texts from English into Russian and Chinese among students from the People's Republic of China who receive higher linguistic education in Russia and subsequently work as translators in their homeland. This article reveals the essence of the category "communication"; examples of the definition of the linguistic concept of "translation", offered by domestic and foreign linguists, are given; types of translation are considered; the characteristic of written translation is represented; features of the translation of economic texts are revealed; the basic principles of translating economic texts are introduced; the reasons associated with the difficulties of translating economic texts by Chinese students are analyzed; the sources chosen by teachers to develop a set of exercises are described; the structure of the exercise complex is considered and examples of theoretical material and practical tasks, aimed at studying the impersonal forms of the verb by Chinese students are given; the mistakes of students are analyzed; recommendations are given to eliminate grammar mistakes.
