The article presents the method of calculating the dynamic characteristics of a power system on the basis of frequency with the consideration of the operation of primary regulation system and automatic load shedding (ALS). The efficiency of the approach is demonstrated based on the example of comparing frequency decrease in the case of active power deficit according to the method presented and with the usage of a software complex for calculating electromechanic transition processes.
