FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to histology, can be applied in pathological anatomy and is intended for the detection of elastic and collagen fibers on a single preparation. A method for histological staining of elastic and collagen fibers on a single histological preparation is proposed, including fixation of the material in a formalin solution, dehydration in alcohols and xylene, encapsulation of the material in paraffin, making sections from paraffin blocks, deparaffinization, immersion in an orcein solution under certain conditions, preparation of a dye carried out previously according to the generally accepted method, characterized in that after staining with orcein, the histological preparation is washed for 2-3 s in distilled water, then differentiated in absolute isopropyl alcohol for 10 minutes, the cut surface is dried with filter paper and a 0.1% solution of strong green FCF, mixed with a saturated solution of picric acid in a ratio of 1:10, immediately before staining, after 20 minutes, the histological preparation is washed in distilled water for 2-3 s, dehydrated, clarified and placed in a synthetic mounting medium. EFFECT: when performing staining of histological preparations according to the proposed method, due to the use of affordable and easy-to-prepare dyes, the process of manufacturing histological preparations is simplified, on which both elastic and collagen fibers are visible. 1 cl, 3 dwg.
