In the process of forming a digital society, the Internet of Things becomes an innovative environment for the implementation of all spheres of human activity, including the industrial, technological and financial sectors, services, transport, etc. In these sectors, Internet technologies allow exchanging data on economic activity, responding to changes in external and internal factors, influencing processes, without human intervention. The scientific novelty consists in the development of the theory of the industrial Internet in the digital economy. The analysis of the current regulation of the industrial Internet of Things in the Sverdlovsk region was conducted. Specific recommendations on the regulation of the industrial Internet of Things for the region were suggested. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the proposed measures was given. It is concluded that in the digital economy, the improvement of state regulation of the industrial Internet of Things requires a systematic approach and the consistency of a number of strategic planning documents, as well as the development of a concept for regulating the industrial Internet of things at the federal and regional levels. The research results may be useful for specialists involved in the implementation of Internet technologies in the activities of economic entities, as well as to the public authorities of the Sverdlovsk region as a basis for policy in the field of regional regulation of industrial Internet.
