The parameters of sustainable architecture, deduced by K. Alexander and N. Salingaros, are presented and commented on. The irreducibility of architecture to the summation of technological solutions, the importance of developing the traditions of harmony and adaptability in architectural shaping are emphasized. Based on the author`s translation of texts by N. Salingaros, the importance of representations of a holistic multi-level complex form for its correspondence to the characteristics of human life is shown.
