The article presents data on the connection of happiness with the observance of moral standards on the example of such norms prohibitions as anger, greediness, envy,idleness, gluttony, lust and extra pride, and such virtues as wisdom and knowledge, courage, humanism and love, justice, restraint, transcendence (spirituality). The study involved 114 people aged 18 to 60 years. The following methods were used for diagnostics: “Updated Oxford Happiness Inventory”; Personal Virtues Questionnaire (PVQ); 10 point scale the level of self assessment of anger , greediness, envy, idleness, gluttony, lust and extra pride. As a result, a positive relationship of happiness with all virtues was revealed, a negative relationship of happiness with anger, greediness, envy, idleness, lust. At the same time, happiness is positively correlated with extra pride and is not associated with gluttony.
